POSTPONED: ScreenSkills: Open Doors Huddersfield 2020

POSTPONED

Due to the continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Open Doors Huddersfield has been postponed. We hope to bring this event to Huddersfield later in the year.

Want to find out about starting a behind-the-camera (i.e. technical, craft, or production jobs**) career the screen industry?

Open Doors aims to give insight into what jobs are out there and help you build connections with industry professionals. You’ll get the opportunity to:

  • meet people from the local screen industry

  • hear their stories and get practical advice for getting started in the industry

  • network with industry professionals and creative peers

Come along to The Media Centre to hear from screen industry experts about their jobs behind the camera. Meet speakers in round-table groups of 10 or fewer and take part in an open networking session.

Chat to the ScreenSkills team to hear about a range of opportunities from bursaries, training courses and how to find a mentor.

Speakers to be announced over the next few weeks.

**These careers are behind the scenes and not to do with performing/acting. This programme is supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions.

If you have any questions email Rochelle: rochelle.laurencin@screenskills.com

In order to book tickets for this event, you must make an account with ScreenSkills. When you sign up with ScreenSklls, they will ask you to answer a series of diversity and inclusion questions. The reason they ask this is so they can better understand the screen industries and provide support for under-represented groups. If you do not wish to answer these questions, you can select ‘I prefer not to say’. For more information, please see our guide to ScreenSkills diversity and inclusivity monitoring.
