Huddersfield Green & Clean: Huddersfield Civic Society Workshop

Environmental quality contributes to making Huddersfield a town to live, work and study in. Huddersfield Green & Clean is a half-day workshop, which will consider four main environmental themes - Cherishing our green spaces; Improving air quality; Alternatives to the car; Waste and litter.

Specialist speakers will briefly outline each topic before opening up to audience contributions. The keynote speaker is Cllr Andrew Cooper, (Energy spokesperson, Green Party) who has been a member of the EU Committee of the Regions until recently, representing UK.

Registration starts at 09.45 at Media Centre, Northumberland Street, HD1 1RL. The event ends at 13.15. Please use advance registration at https://www.huddersfieldcivicsociety.org.uk/events.html

HCS invites members and guests to attend. The event is open to non-members. There is no delegate charge but we are asking for donations at registration to cover our costs: £2 (HCS members, students, unwaged) and £5 (non-members). This will include free hot drinks and pastries.
